Fender Telecasters are widely regarded as one of the most useful and versatile musician's tools available. This '78 model is a prime example and it will put a smile on your face. This one has a black finish that is ageing nicely.
Features a one-piece maple neck with standard 25.5" scale length, and chrome hardware that is in very good condition considering it is almost 45 years of age. Serial # 813xxx dates it to 1978.

The bridge is a Fender stamped chrome six saddle bridge, which offers fine tuning of intonation on every string.
The neck is super clean especially on the back and the original frets have been nicely dressed with plenty of life left. Plugged in the guitar has that unmistakable Tele tone – the neck pickup has lots of character and the bridge unit delivers the expected spank and bite.
The headstock sports the original Fender "F" tuning machines which turn smoothly and hold pitch well. The original logo is intact and flawless, and the neck pocket is nice and snug. And this is a 3 bolt Fender neck. This is a solid, well constructed instrument.
This Tele Custom was just very recently looked over and has been setup superbly by industry respected luthier - Steve Cocking. It presents a few bumps and bruises but nothing too offensive, there is some pick wear on the pick guard and a small grommet on the top side of the pick guard that we aren't 100% sure of it's purpose - making it extremely unique!
Overall it is a fine sounding '78 Tele in good playing condition, with a good set of pickups that deliver that classic Tele punch & twang.
Comes in non-original hard shell case in excellent condition.
